ABOUT THE COACH: Coach Tim Storino is extremely excited to join the Seton LaSalle Family. He has a large amount of family and friends who are current students and alumni. Tim attended his first Seton LaSalle football game at just 8 years old while his cousins were playing for the Rebels. Tim is excited to bring his experience to the Seton LaSalle, which includes:
-17 years teaching health/physical education for the Shaler Area School District.
-14 years of high school coaching experience at Bethel Park, Shaler Area, Vincentian, and Pittsburgh Central Catholic.
-3 years of college coaching experience at the University of Delaware, Old Dominion University, and Robert Morris University.
-Playing experience – All-Conference Quarterback at Bethel Park and then a 3-year starting quarterback at Lock Haven University. Tim attended St. Gabriel’s of the Sorrowful Virgin Catholic Grade School and was a 1999 graduate of Bethel Park High School. He was on the board of the Catholic Men’s Fellowship of Pittsburgh (CMF) from 2015-2018 and is very passionate about his Catholic faith. Tim, his wife Katlyn, son Timothy, and daughter Josephine have daily morning practice of scripture reading, mediation, and prayer. We are so excited to have him as part of the Rebel family!

DAN DARRAGH, '63
After playing for the South Hills Catholic Rebels throughout high school, Dan Darragh went on to be the starting Quarterback at the College of William & Mary.
Following his college football career, Darragh was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 13th Round of the 1968 NFL Draft. Darragh played three seasons with the Bills.
He was inducted into the William & Mary Hall of Fame in 1992. Darragh is one of the first Rebels to make it to the NFL.
TOM DONAHOE, '65
Tom Donahoe graduated from South Hills Catholic in 1965, where he was an active member of our student body. He was a Student Council Member and an esteemed athlete, playing both football and basketball.
High school football was just the beginning of Donahoe's career. He would go on to become the General Manager of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1991-1999 before stepping in as President and General Manager of the Buffalo Bills from 2001-2005.
Since 2012, Donahoe has been in the Head Office with the Philadelphia Eagles since 2012. In 2015, he was named the Senior Director of Player Personnel. In 2017, Donahoe won Super Bowl LII in 2017 with the Eagles.
GINO GRADKOWSKI, '07
Gino Gradkowski played Rebel Football for four years at Seton LaSalle and continued all through college. He started at West Virginia University before transferring to the University of Delaware.
He was drafted 98th overall in the 4th round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in the start of what would become a seven-year NFL career. In his rookie season, Gradkowski was a backup lineman and played on special teams for the 2012-13 Ravens team that went on to win SuperBowl XLVII.
Gino went on to play for the Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets.
BRUCE GRADKOWSKI, '01
Bruce was a huge part of the Rebels football success while he was here at SLS. Now, Bruce is a former American football quarterback and current offensive coordinator for the St. Louis BattleHawks. He played college football at Toledo. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round (194th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. Gradkowski was also a member of the St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
NICK MERRICK, '81
After dominating the field in green and gold, Nick Merrick went on to do more of the same at the University of Virginia. The Wide Receiver was a starter and four-year letter winner for the Division I football program.
Although his first season with the Cavaliers was less than ideal, by the time Merrick was a senior, he and his teammates were on their way to the Peach Bowl to top off an 8-2-2 season. During his sophomore season in 1982, Merrick was the leading receiver for UVA. He was a Parade All-American originally from Bethel Park.
Merrick earned his Bachelor's in Commerce at UVA and later got his MBA from Harvard. He is currently the President of Mount Vernon Investments.
TERRY O'SHEA, '84
Terry played Rebel Football for four years at Seton LaSalle and another four years at the California University of Pennsylvania. As an All-American, the MVP and the Team Captain, O'Shea was determined to be one of the select Vulcans to make it to the National Football League — and he did just that.
He had invitations to try out with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles. His first tryout was with the Steelers and he was able to sign with them, thrilled about the opportunity to play on his hometown team. O'Shea played alongside 15 rookies in 1988-89, helping the team advance to the playoffs.
O'Shea played one more season with the Steelers before departing the U.S. and playing football in Spain with the Barcelona Dragons in the World Football League. He has since volunteered as an assistant coach.
RYAN RECKER, '97
Ryan Recker is a South Park native who was a member of the Rebel Football team during his time at Seton LaSalle.
After high school, Recker attended Robert Morris University, where he earned his B.A. in communications. He has since had a TV news reporting career covering sports that gives him a unique opportunity to cover historic sports moments like the final game at Three Rivers Stadium, the final Penguins playoff series at Civic Arena and the last Pitt-Penn State football game.
He began his career at WTOV in Steubenville, OH, and then held a Sports Director position at KOVA in Tucson, AZ for six years before returning to Pittsburgh. He is currently WTAE's weekend evening anchor, as well as the sports reporter on the weekends. Recker's outstanding sports reporting has been recognized locally and nationally. He received a Regional Emmy Award and several Associated Press Awards for his coverage.
